Our forum is an ate: a meeting place where we sit together as a family. These guidelines keep it a place of learning, respect and truth.
- Speak with respect. Address every member as a relative. Disagree with ideas; never insult people, families, lineages or other faiths.
- Honour the elders and the teachings. Ask freely and question honestly, but do not mock our traditions, our ancestors or those who keep them.
- Keep sacred things in their place. Some knowledge belongs with initiates, at the shrine or with the elders. Do not post private rites, formulas or another person’s family matters. When in doubt, ask in “Ask the Elders” or speak to a teacher.
- Share what you know, and say how you know it. Tell us whether something comes from your family, an elder, a book or your own reflection. Do not present guesses as teaching.
- Protect privacy. Never share phone numbers, addresses or photos of other people without their consent. Course circles are private: what is shared there stays there.
- No harm. Do not offer or request harmful practices, curses or charms against anyone. Our medicine and spirituality are for benevolence.
- No spam or selling. No advertising, money requests, paid “spiritual services” or chain messages.
- Stay on the topic. Post in the right space and give your topic a clear title. Search first: the answer may already be there.
How moderation works
Elders and teachers moderate the forum. If a post breaks these guidelines, use “Report”. A post reported by several members is hidden until a moderator reviews it. Moderators may edit, hide or close topics, and accounts that repeatedly break the guidelines may lose access to the forum.
